Arisaka T-97 Sniper Stock

I'm having a very difficult time locating a T-97 Sniper stock set.
Can I convert a T-38 stock into a T-97 Sniper?

Thanks for the link. If I can't locate a T-97 stock,
I was planning to convert a T-38 stock into a T-97
sniper. I realize there may be several modifications required
on the T-38 stock. Does this sound reasonable? Do you know of
anyone who has done this conversion?

Since the T-97 is essientially a T-38 w/added scope, I'm sure a T-38 stock can be converted to a Sniper model. The principle modifacation being inleting the left side of the stock to make room for the scope mounts.
To find out if anyone currently makes repro 97 stocks, or modifies T-38 stocks, I'd advise asking on the Gunboards.com Japanese Forum. You may even find a collector who has an original he'd sell.
This is IMO the best place on the internet to gain info on all Arisaka's.
