    rock,roll,n,load,

There are 3 types of 'engraving' used in the firearms industry:

Enhanced = cast in place decoration where the part is polished to reveal the 'engraving'. Remington used this on their floorplates for a while and Millet uses this technique on their rings. Do a search on the Millet website.

Laser engraved = the use of machine guided lasers to add an enhancement to the rings and bases. Burris uses this technique, check their website.

Custom hand engraved = as the description indicates, real live engravers apply their art and skill to the decoration of the metallic parts on firearms such as rings and bases. Look at the engravers guild website for a list of engravers that will handle your request. Be advised, this will be the best you get but will cost accordingly. It is art at its finest for firearms.

    Best.

    nononsense,
Thanks for the info. The Millets look like they will fit the bill perfectly for what I'm looking for.
    Thanks again! [:D][:D]
