I ran into dealer yesterday that was telling me some Colt SAA have been made by Uberti. Is this true? Still on the fence. Thanks all.

I have also heard that rumor. That the Colt "Cowboy" was an import. I have never seen any facts to back it up. I consider it just a rumor. The Cowboy was a different single action from the SAA in that it had a transfer bar and utilized many cost saving production methods. They were decent guns, destined to be collectible due to the small numbers made. They are Colts, however, made in the USA.

Uberti, among other are currently manufacturing Colt SAA clones and quite good copies also. Is this true , yes Imported into the USA.

SASS is the driving reason that Uberti got into the clone business, BIG BUSINESS here in the USA and folks will pay for any shoot an Uberti but won't buy for shooting a lot, an Orig Colt SAA.

I believe Uberti was selling us repros some years before the SASS was organized.
They had a showroom in Connecticut then.
I bought an 1862 Pocket Police SS sample from them in 1982.

I have an Aldo Uberti SAA and a Colt Second Generation. The case hardening is much better on the Colt but in the mechanical function of the two I can't tell much difference.
