    I had a original Remington, on a 870. The metal strut smacks the side of your face hard, specially with hot buckshot and slug loads.

    The only way I could shoot it, without getting the snot knocked out of me. Was just by keeping the stock folded. And shoot, it by just holding the pistol grip.
