Remington 600 trigger

I have a Remington 600 .308 that needs a new trigger assembly. Long story short, the trigger actually is broke in half.

Any recommendations on what to go with on a replacement? I'm not looking for fancy and expensive, just a decent trigger.

    Hello,
I bought a used Remington model 600 in .350 Remington Magnum with the laminated stock. It is in near perfect condition. One thing has me curious though. The trigger is golden. Is this factory original on this particular model/caliber. Info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A factory trigger group is $91 at Numrich Arms.
The trigger blade itself is $13 if you want to tackle working on the small parts.

    The Timney is $150.

I would ask Rem. The 600 trigger was recalled. I had mine replaced because it would fire pushing it off safety if the trigger had been pressed at all. They should have recalled the XP-100 too.

If I go the full trigger assembly route, that Timney was the one I had been looking at.

The replacement blade would be a nice cheap fix though. Thanks for posting that!

There is quite a little bit more to that story than a faulty trigger. That was the end result of them coming out of adjustment, more frequently, than not, at the hands of Bubba the wannabe gunsmith. The trigger that Remington replaced them with, is purely junk. Junk enough they recalled them also to further make sure the newest ones are the worst trigger Remington has ever offered.

My opinion would be to replace the broken trigger with a new Timney. If you are a prudent shopper you can find one for about $100.00 on line.

I just got done doing this with my Remington 700. My old trigger was still functional but I decided to change it because the Timney trigger is made from a solid block of heat treated steel; there's no 'connector bar' to come loose. Secondly, the Timney has a blocking safety; that means there's no way to move the trigger when it's on safe, so when you take it off safe the trigger stays in the same position it started and no accidental discharge. You can easily adjust the trigger pull from 4 lbs to 1.5 lbs with an Allen wrench. I like the feel of the Timney trigger face better than the original trigger as well.

    Hope this helps.
