Federal primers

Does anybody know what happened to Fed. primers ? I can't find them anywhere. The weasels on auction sites are asking 150.00 and up for a box of 1000.

No clue, last time I was at the local Cabela's they had good selection of primers - not a complete selection. IIRC they didn't have any 215's but had like 9 1/2 M or 250's sort of thing. Fair selection of powders except for pistol. OK bullet selection, some new brass.

Try looking here - I saw some federal's listed at normal prices.

Like so many reloading components, Federal primers are taking their own sweet time to get back up to working strength. We can try to surmise what's happened but only Federal has the real answer. I have had to retest nearly every load I work with since I had standardized on Federal Match primers. Now I've moved on, they can make any come back they want, I'm done with them.

Cabela's had 215M for sale Saturday online and in the stores but the supply lasted less than two hours nationwide.

I used the match primer in my .308 , and it is a great primer. I used the 205m in my 222 mag and 222. Were perfect in both. I really hope they will come back soon. Rem 7 1/2 worked well, but not quite as consistent. I did use the 7 1/2 rem in my 600 yard load for my .308, and it was very accurate. The fed in everything else.
I though maybe they had an accident at the plant.
