I have two old scopes with the following marking :
MOSSBERG - NO. M4(b)

MOSSBERG - NO. M4c

Based on these markings, what are the differences in these
two scopes. They look exactly alike.

Thanks.

The scopes are identical from the outside. The difference is in the internals, the M4 b has a two piece internal eye piece tube and the M4 c has a one piece.

Thank you for the info. The scopes are in excellent condition, and appear to be well made and of high quality.
One more question : Do you know what years the M4 scopes were made ?

    M4 B was made in 1946 and M4 C in 1949.

Lot of scopes show up on fleabay. If you're interested in their FMV, it would be the best venue to find out.
