Lyman long slide.Marked W 8 or M 8 ???

Found this Lyman at the gun show today.Aside from the parts number it had W8 or M8 on the slide.Any ideas what it fits??the mount goes on the top of the action and is flat.Two holes and is large square.Could it be for a Win.52??Thanks for the input.Bill
