I just got another SKS and this one still has the 10rd fixed mag. on it. How do you get this thing out? It looks like it should be easy but I can't get it. All help appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

Had a customer bring in a rifle today with a one piece Leupold quick release scope base on it. The base is held on with 3 screws that use torx head screws. The front two screws each has a broken torx driver jammed in them. Base must come off due to damage from dropping the scoped rifle. Anyone have a suggestion or know how to get the broken torx drivers out so I can remove the screws?

Remove the trigger group - the mag comes out easily after that. You need to get a book about assembly/disassembly if you plan to own and maintain any weapon. Learning about your weapon is critical! Here's a link that has info and diagrams. I recommend a book, but this should healp in the meantime. http://www.simonov.net/information.htm
