pre 78 1100 20 ga question

Since pre LT 20 ga barrels are so hard to find, and these were supposedly built on the 12 ga frame, would a 12 ga barrel fit that receiver?

The pre '77 Standard frame 20ga was built on the 12ga frame. The LT and LW are on a smaller frame. The 20ga std. frame can be converted to a 12ga, but the cost can't justify it. Barrels for the std. frame come up on fleabay for sale as well here on gunbroker. Try www.corsonsbarrels.com , I may have a 28"mod. V.R. bbl, if I can remember where I put it!

Scoutfowler, Check with G.B. member IOWA, he's got some barrels for the standard.
