Has anyone used in this ammo??? I have a rem model 700 that I would like to try it out of but I have been told that the model 700 won't really stabilize a bullet of less than about 140 grains.

THanks

    Keith,

Sounds like someone's been passing out the folklore again.

The standard Rem. 700 30-06 has a twist rate of 1:10" which will stabilize any bullet except the extremely long and heaviest Match bullets. Most lightweight bullets will shoot just fine in a faster twist barrel. It would take an extremely slow twist barrel like 1:18" or slower to fail to stabilize a 125 grain bullet. I shoot 112, 115, 118 and 125 grain bullets in my 1:15" twist 30 cal. HBR barrel.

    You should be just fine.

    Best of luck!
