I recently found an old parker bros double barrel break action
shotgun. I was looking online to see if i could find a rough
estimate on how much its worth. Its has hammers and very elequent
designs on it. The gun itself is in decent shape, no major dings
dents or scrapes. The finish is aged but still decent, the wood
finish is dark and old. The barrel is fairly rusty and antique
looking, but you can still make out the swirl markings that
go the length of the barrel. Here are the numbers from the gun.
Forehandle:
Patented: March 26, 1878
Serial: 12802
On the Barrel:
PARKER BROS MAKERS HERIDEN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL
Patented: April 1, 1876
Other Number: 178
Type: Damascus Steel
Frame Size: 2
Grade: D
Barrel Weight: 5
Trigger Mechanism and stock:
Serial: 12802
Patented: November 13, 1866
March 29, 1875
any help or opinions on this gun would be greatly appreciated, thanks
