I have a Daisy .22 LR and I would really like a value of what it is worth. It has an octagonal barrel and did come with a cleaning kit in the stalk, but it is no longer there. it does have some wear and tear but shoots right on target. All i know is that they stopped being made in the 70's. Please let me know

thank you

...If I am not mistaken, Nunn (David) the Admin had one..and it was one of the worst guns he ever had, sorry. You might try contacting him thru his profile or post this addressed to "NUNN" on the General Disscussion" forum.

...David is a great guy, and for him to rag a gun as he did this one is WAY out of charachter for him..so I'm REALLY sure there was plenty of truth in what he said; again if I'm correct on this...[;)]

The Daisys I had were some of the rifles Daisy made up for Wal*Mart. It is not the one that corndogg04 describes. The one he describes was a pretty good little rifle.

I returned my rifles to Daisy and they paid me for them. I reckon they were embarrassed for having made them.

Several years later, Jennings (remember Jennings?) made the same rifle, calling it the Jennings Junior. It was a POS, too.

The Daisy such as corndogg04 describes retailed for over a hundred bucks, back in the 70s. It was not a POS.

I hope this clears up any confusion over the two very different rifles.

But in Nunn's profile signature, he has left his son in Iraq.

i did some more searching and i found that my .22 that is a model 2202 ranges anywhere from $150 to $250 in auctions here on gunbroker. i know some of you think that they are a POS. but mine isnt. i got it when i was 11 and am now 21 and it still shoots like a champ. the only thing i had to do was replace the firing pin once and that was last year. thanks to those of you that actually replied to my posting with some kind of point.

No. The one you have is a decent .22 rifle. The cheapie Wal*Mart version from Daisy was a POS. The Wal*Mart gun retailed for about $45 new while your rifle was over $100.
