What are the letters above the address? I've seen these before but can't remember who made them.

The derringer was made by Bellmore Johnson Tool. This design was derived from the .38 Special derringer prototype that Bellmore Johnson made for High Standard Mfg. Bellmore Johnson made a lot oof prototype guns and parts for High Standard. After Bellmore Johnson, Amreican Derringer in Texas made a copy of both the centerfire prototype and rimfire High Standard derringers.
