    Your answer:

The new Redfield name was resurrected by Blount in 2000, and later sold along with Simmons and Weaver to ATK. All three are now owned by Meade. The new Redfield started out with a few Illuminators and 5-stars. By 2002 they had introduced a full line of Trackers (low-end), 5-Stars (low-middle), Widefields (middle-end), and Illuminators (middle-high-end). All are imported from Japan.

    Edit:
    Right Zink...

    April 2008

Leupold & Stevens, Inc. has acquired the Redfield brand of optics from Meade Instruments. Founded in 1909, Redfield was a leading U.S. producer of riflescopes, spotting scopes, and binoculars for many decades until it closed in 1998. In recent years, the Redfield brand changed hands several times, before being acquired by Meade Instruments, which sold the Redfield brand to Leupold.

Believe Leupold just bought out the Redfield name.
