Replacing the rear sight on my 1903 Springfield. Just the sight itself, not the base or barrel collar. Do I need to do anything besides punching out the pin at the rear? I want to get it right the first time, and not go beating on anything that doesn't require it. Thanks.[:)]
As you can see, the previous owner wasn't especially kind to the original rear sight. Not much left of the leaf.[B)]
