Tennite stock repair

I have a shotgun (Stevens 124C)with a tennite stock. A small crack about 1/2 inch long has begun. If I drill a small hole at the end of the crack, will that stop it or make it worse? Is tennite like glass when drilled? Will it shatter or can it be drilled like most plastics and fiberglass? What glues will work on it? Thanks for any suggestions.

good luck it is a plastic that gets fragile with age and was never that strong anyway
Sunlight also accelerates degradation of the resins in tennite.
With that said. Yes, drilling will pen the crack.
As for adhesives, most plastics don't bond well. Plastic welding is best. Since that won't be economical I'd try Hot Stuff made by Satellite City. Their 'Thin' is thinner than any super glue you might find at a store.

Use the thin viscosity as you'll want it to wick into as much of the crack as possible. Warming the area with a hair drier will help encourage wicking. If you can reach the crack on the inside cover it and the drilled hole with tape. Any adhesive that wicks through will cure over the crack plus you can fill the drilled hole without it running out.
