Use a large screwdriver with a blade that fits well. A screwdriver that you can put a wrench on for leverage if it is really stubborn.

drizzle a few drops of kroil on the screw and let st fot 24 Hours or longer. I have used a jack handle Lug nut wrench that has a screw driver tip on the long end and socket for the lug nut on other end
Wrap layers of Mashing tape near the screw driver end so Shank is almost a snug fit This will hold it centered and help prevent it slipping out the slot

Use a long brass drift to give screw a thump with a hammer to help shock the corroded threads. A really good fit on the screw driver bit is important. Look down the hole with a flashlight, a modeling clay impression could help you get an exact fit.

Apex brand bits in a 1/4 hex bit holder on a 3/8" long enough extension with a ratchet or breaker bar. If you cannot get an exact fit get the next larger bit and grind it down to exact fit. Wrap tape on the extension to help keep it centered. If it slips off or isn't centered correctly you can split the stock.

Secure the firearm in a padded vice so you can lean in on the breaker bar to help keep the bit from slipping out. You can thump your tool with a lead or brass hammer, again to shock the corroded threads.
