Do Savage 219 & 220 barrels interchange?

Will a 22 Hornet barrel from a Savage 219 rifle fit on a Savage 220 20 gauge shotgun receiver? Thanks for any information.

    I am 90% sure they will FIT but you may run into some problems with a different size Fireing pin with primer Flow backward into breach face.

    Yes and no. There were at two major variations and they won't exchange. If they are the same variation they should fit with some minor fitting in some cases.

    some will and some won't and some will need a bit of fitting to your frame but don't try to make any high powered rifle barrels work on any shotgun frames from yesteryear because they were not designed to handle the stresses and could cause injuries, generally I used to take the rifle frames and fit shotgun barrels to them due to being a stronger frame, use lots of caution.
