I have a Remington .22S,L,LR pump action rifle. I want to ID the model and date of manufacture. It's a takedown, hammerless, 20" round barrel, no groves, open sights, metal butt plate, straight stock, LOP=13", magazine tube. Saftey in back of trigger guard. Patents dated 1909, 1910, 1911, 1912. Has Remington UMC circle trademark on lower tang. Serial #RW 1223XX. Thanks in advance for your assistance.[This message has been edited by bbq05 (edited 09-19-2001).]

DEAR BBQ05: SOUNDS LIKE A REMINGTON MODEL 12A SLIDE ACTION RIFLE. MY FATHER GOT ONE WHEN HE WAS 17 YEARS OLD IN 1934. IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A BLUE BOOK 22ND EDITION,TRY PAGE 1067.
