im looking for some mounts for a 1943 turkish mauser large ring. I have a graduated reare sight and would like to add a tasco or redfield scope for deer hunting without destroying the beauty of this rare rifle. any suggestions around the $40 to $50 dollar range?

Go to Milsurpshooter.net and check out the Mauser sites. Dead Horse Walking

I'd just get the reciever drilled and taped for a leupold mount or two piece weaver base.

B-Square makes a mount that replaces the leaf of your rear sight with no modifications to the sight base, so if you want you can put it back to its original configuration ... only drawback is you have to use a long eye relife scope such as a pistol scope.

Yea, you can turn your mauser into a "scout" rifle using one of those bsquare mounts.
