Simply take the first two numbers of your serial number and subtract from 100; should give you the year of manufacture. Marlin started this system in 1973. For the years 1969 into 1973, the first two digits of the serial number determined the year of manufacture. Prior to l969 they used a letter or letters to determine the year of manufacture.
