Essential Arms Company AR15

I recently purchased a pre-ban AR15. The letters EA are stamped on the reciever which I believe stands for Essentail Arms Company.I have been all over the web and the only info I have been able to find is that they went out of business in 1993 and what was left was purchased by DPMS. Can anyone tell me anything about them? Are they good guns?What is the average value of a pre-ban in good condition? (I know this depends..)I Would also like to know a little history on the company itself. I like to be knowledgable about the firearms I own but it's hard when you can't find the info.Please Help!
