I have been looking at some soviet made o/u shotguns. They are inported by aae or eea I don't remember which. The brand name is Baikel or something to that effect. My question is can anyone give any information on the quality of thes O/U's. The list price is very good. But are the guns any good. How do they shoot? Are there any extra chokes that can be gotten as extras.

The guns are Baikal, imported by European American Armory (EAA). They are hell-for-strong serviceable shotguns, if a bit rough and clunky.Another quality O/U at a good price is Huglu - check out www.huglushotgunsusa.com

EAA[European American Armory]is the importer. The manuf. is Baikal, a government owned plant in Izhevsk, Russia. They are one of the world's largest manufacturers of military and non-military weapons. I've got a 12ga. o/u model 27 that shoots as good,if not better, than my Beretta White Wing. It's hard to argue against the very reasonable price of a Baikal. God Bless AMERICA!!!!

The American Rifleman did a write-up on these shotguns just a short while ago. Checkthe last few issues.

Go to: galleryofguns.com Find the index listing "dealers in your area". If you buy through Davidson's you'll not only get a great deal but you'll get the best guarantee in the business. You'll also be able to see all the options the Baikal o/u shotguns come with. Good LuckGOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

I bought a sxs 28 ga. Baikal about 2 years ago and just love that little gun. True, it's not the prettiest or fanciest thing out there, but after this winter, it will be. The action and barrels are strong, and the wood, although rough, is also as strong. It's cut checkered, and will get a full makeover this winter. Also, I'm going to get it reblued and polished. For the price of these Baikals, you cannot go wrong.
