I'm very familiar w/ AK47. How does an AK74 differ. Thanks

There may be other differences but the most important is caliber. The AK74 takes a round that is roughly similar to our .223 round.

The AK-74 is nearly identical but is chambered for the 5.45 x 39 Russian cartridge. The SAR-2 (AK-74) has noticeably less recoil than the 7.62 model and is a bit lighter with a full mag. Takedown is identical. My SAR-2 seems to be slightly more accurate than other AK models I have, probably due to the faster muzzle velocity of the 5.45 round. It's a nice addition to any AK collection.
