Is there anyway i could determine the twist of my .22-250? Its not a factory rifle, so i cant look at a website. I bought it from a friend of mine that didnt know much about it. Its not really important that i know. I am pretty sure that i can figure a load out for it without knowing, but its one of those curiosity things.

14 has stabilized 50-55 grain bullets for about 75 years.
But they may come apart due to their lighter construction if hotrodded.
I would go for a 1:10 twist.
The 1-10 will be too fast for a 40gr.
My 1-14 700 varmit that we reamed out from a 222 to 223 puts 40-52's in about 3/8in. My Tikka 1-12 will do the same with up to 62gr's.
