Wondered if anybody out there has any knowledge of Southern Ohio Gun's latest ad in Shotgun News. It has Czech VZ-24 in 7mm they are calling it rare? Didn't the Czechs make a bundle for Latin America Countries? It has a 23 inch bbl and is in "good overall condition" for $169.95 each. What do you think? Has anybody seen/gotten one yet? Not too much surplus 7 x 57 around these days? Please advise[:)]

Don't know about the rare part, but the VZ-24 was one of the finest actions to come out of that period.. I have one chambered for a 280 Remington and it works well.....
Seems like one in that condition sure is worth the price.............

Yes they made some for the So. American mkt just like the Germans. I think the "rare" thing can be dismissed by the price they have on them. And yes there very little 7mm surplus ammo left. You would be using newer commercial ammo, however the 7mm is a good cartridge.
