T/C Encore mounting ring question

I want to put a scope on a T/C Encore 209 / 50 muzzle loader. What is the most reasonable for the money setup for mounting rings? Should I just go with T/C?

I have a few T/C guns and found that standard "turn in" rings work fine. Stratton Custom makes some nice, steel Weaver bases that allow for more scope placement flexibility. Talley sells rings that attach directly to the frame - no separate base.

I think Redfield still sells their "3 ring" base. Don't know if that's needed on the muzzleloader.

Be certain to use rings that give your thumb enough clearance below the scope. I know the general rule is "mount as low as possible" but if you do that with the Encore you might not have enough room to lower the hammer manually or while wearing gloves.

Get yourself the standard one piece Weaver style base, either from Weaver, or TC, then you can mount any weaver style ring on that you want to, including the Weaver Grand Slam, QD's That is exactly how I have mine set up, as some states do not allow an optic for muzzle loader hunting season.
