Ruger bearcat

Hey guys. I have a Ruger Bearcat with the serial number 1774 but everything I've ready sort of confuses when I try and date it. Anyone know what year this piece was manufactured. It's definitely the older model. With such a low serial number...is it a first run? I can take pictures if needed but didn't know/think it was necessary.

We just obtained a Ruger Bearcat with the serial #970**** (it looks like). It also has a Brass finger guard. Would you possibly know when it was made?

Just purchased a Ruger Bearcat (91-35xxx). Been wanting one for a long time. I'm so happy I could just poop a brick, until yesterday when I got the chance to fire it a few rounds. From a good steady freehand it shoots about 2" high and just a tad to the left at 30'. Nothing seems to be bent or out of place. Gun seems to be in pretty decent shape.
Is this normal for a "Non-adjustable" bearcat or is there a way to correct it in-expensively.

I also bought a Ruger Bearcat at the same time for $200.00, I bought them both at a personal property auction. S/N 4979 for the Bearcat.
Both pistols are in good shape with very little wear on the blueing.
I have never shot the Double Nine and I am thinking about selling it when my son has an auction this spring.

I've found an old Ruger Bearcat - no medalian, no caliber marking. Odd serial number - S491. Any info?
