Ingellis Browning HP shoulder stocked legality?

I've found an Ingellis model of the Browning High Power with a shoulder stock/holster for sale. It is the Chinese model with the tangent sights. More of a shooter grade, but looks to be in decent shape. Question, how can I be sure it is one of the ones that is legal to have with a shoulder stock? Is there a list somewhere that I can look up?

By way of furthering discussion and probably not providing a certain answer, the Chinese Inglis is listed as a C & R (along with the Mauser 96) and removed from NFA restrictions using a shoulder stock. ATF letters dated later than 2009 allow the C96 to use a reproduction stock and not be NFA.

I'm finding a fair amount of "letter quoting" but not the original ATF letter on the subject.

Note on their web site ATF specifically states the handgun must be original but doesn't say the same referencing a shoulder stock. This isn't definitive but knowing how ATF uses language if the stock still had to be original I'd expect ATF to say so.

I would also consider the following. That ATF allows similar substitutions while maintaining "original configuration" may carry over to shoulder stocks too. A Springfield 1903 with a modern replacement stock of original configuration is still C & R eligible, why would the same not apply to an Inglis with a repro stock?

Yeah, it's legal. I wrote about it awhile back. I've still got the stock for one.
