German WW2 8mm ammo marking

Anyone know what the following stamped marking means. It is on a 15 rd box of WW2 German 8mm ammo-"Lackierte Hulsen". Can't seem to find anything about it.

Early steel cased ammo.

Get a copy of Kent's GERMAN 7.9 AMMUNITION.

I built cartridge boards when I was a kid for German 8mm ammo.
Kent's book was invaluable to identify the hundreds of different loadings by color of the projectile and prime annulus.


It was fine in bolt action rifle, but could hang up in light machineguns.

was used on early steel case ammo because troops were used to brass case ammo but this label was meant to reassure them "all was well". Dropped from use after about a year.
