Value of a Stevens-Savage Double Barrel?

Someone I know says her father has an old Stevens/Savage shotgun. It is a double barrel model in good condition (12gauge-2 3/4 inch) that breaks down into three sections. It might be a model 5100 but she does not know as there are no markings on the shotgun. Does anyone have any information on this firearm? I would guess it was a pretty run of the mill shotgun at the time but with so few companies making double barrels anymore perhaps it has some value.

I bought a similar shotgun in great shape for $240 that had been worked over by a gunsmith from a gun store. I use it for cowboy action shooting. that may be your best market for selling it. Alot of shooters want original vs. a russian copy of an original.
I spent all my money on guns, women, and beer. The rest I just wasted.wiredog70@hotmail.com
