Looking for advice. With respect to reliable function, what magazines should I be looking at for a Colt Combat Commander?

Either a Wilson 7or 8 round magazine, or a McCormick 8 round PowerMag. I have had good results with either one.

My stack of 1911 mags are mostly Wilson (8) and a couple of McCormicks. I had some MecGars which were also excellent, but whose baseplate no longer fit when I put a mag well on my gun.

FWIW, the FBI and practical everyone else in the know specifies Wilson.

I'll second (no make that 4th) the Wilson mags. Another one is the Baer. The only differance I can see between them and the Wilson is about $6 cheaper.
