    Think of it this way...
    grade A= Ruger PC9/4
grade B= Kel Tec Sub 2000
    grade C= Hi point carbine

You usually get what you pay for so if you plan on it taking abuse, shooting 10s of 1000s of rounds, and lasting decades you may want to shell out an extra $75 more for each grade up you want to go.

I agree with CLINTF. I recently bought a Ruger PC-9 and it has not had so much as a hiccup. The High Point has received som favorable reviews, but is ugly as *. the Kel Tec looks like a toy and I'm afraid I'd break it if I even picked it up.

I own 2 of the 3. Let me start by saying that I am a BIG Ruger fan. I have 4 of their offerings. I don't have the PC/9. Ugly is only skin deep and that Hi Point apparently performs on a par or better at a lower cost. Kel Tec deserves consideration if for no other reason than the clever way they got around the folding stock law. Just my opinion.
