Smith & Wesson Rifles

I "used" to own a 1600 smith/wesson in good condition. I traded it while back, and was wondering if I might have gotten rid of something that will someday be worth something. 2 years ago, everyone at the gunshow I talked to said it was basically a $250 dollar rifle, and if you got 275, trade that sucker off. So, what do y'all think? The caliber was 22-250, and I didn't really need it so I bought an 06 to use for a "second" rifle instead. thanks, Red

If I remember correctly the last Smith and Wesson rifles were actually
made for them by HOWA in Japan. Earlier rifles, with letter designations, came from Sweden (Husqvarna?). These may have some collector interest if new in the box. Anything in "good" condition is valued only as a shooter unless it is very rare. Howa has made rifles for Interarms, Weatherby (the Vangaurds?), and Mossberg, as well as S&W. I'm sure that you did not give away anything too valuable.
