Does anyone know what KA stamped into the base of milsuplus 30.06 mean? It is followed by 69, or 70, or 71, or 72, or 73 which seems obviously to be year of mfr.

Some of the most corrosive milsurp ammo I've run across too. Clean accordingly "immediately" after shooting.

Good advice to all Trap55, regardless of year, make, model and chemical reality.
    Thanks, Mike

I have ammo with the following stampings:
    FA Match 59 & 60
    HXP 65, 78,79, 80
TW 53 (yippee, API black nose!!)
    AMA 80
    RA 27
    R-P 30-06 Sprg
    REM UMC 30-06 Sprg

I'm pretty sure the last 2 are just commercial Remington ammo

Thanks for all the help with this post and my post about en bloc clips.

And if you run into any LC, that would be Lake City.

Here's info on last dates for corrosive primers.
