What do you think about buying the Olympic .223 Plinker and then buying the free floating heavy stainless barrel upper for it. Do you think that would be a good investment?

Thanks guys.
Thanks in advance for your time...

a different manufaturer.
What are a few good ones to pick from?
Thanks much!

I have an 18" barrel on an SKS and it is good to about 300 yards. A friend is trying to get be to build an AR-15. If I do I am wondering if I want to go with a longer barrel then what seems to be used these days.

Thanks.
If I buy an upper in 6.8, it will fit the lower, right?
The magazine will not fit?
thanks
Its a Colt Sporter Competition HBAR. It has 4 magazines. (2-20 rounds and 2-40 rounds) It has been shot one time only with approximately 40 rounds.
Thanks
Larry
EDIT 1
If it is an Eagle Arms, it will have the Eagle logo on it, and say Eagle Arms.
What model and manufacturer location does it show?
Eagle Arms say Eagle Arms. More then likely Essential Arms.

This ... Over the years I've had a couple because they were cheap. If its one of the pre(94)-ban receivers, the quality in on par with the early DPMS ... which is to say they were usually out of spec crap. I don't believe they sold any complete guns or if they did the rest of the parts were surplus and of decent quality.
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.
