I have two Rossi model 461's One for my wife and one for me. 6 shot small frame with round butt. 2" barrel. I have been searching for months now trying to find aftermarket grips for these revolvers with no success! Does anyone really know what aftermarket grips will fit these revolvers and where I can get a couple pair?????

So are you looking for smaller or oversized or softer than stock.

These might work with a slight modification as noted by someone.

These Pachmayr Grips for Rossi Revolver Small Frames (Rossi Revolver ROS-C) fit my Rossi model 461 perfectly. To those who own this model or the 462 Chrome model, you may find a metal pin protruding through the very bottom portion of steel grip handle. I can see where it serves no purpose. You will need to remove this pin to get these grips to fully close at the bottom. I used a hammer to tap it even with the frame and then a round phillips screwdriver to tap it the rest of the way through. Simple job, but be careful not to pound it and damage your frame. Then simply put the grips on and tighten the screw. These grips feel good in the hand.

Since you are looking for 2 pairs - perhaps smaller for the wife and over sized for yourself I would consider having nice wood ones made. Shouldn't be all that hard to find a local person or could be a fun DIY project.

a2 I often use modeling clay alone or stuck to the factory grips to get a feel of what I want in a grip.

I am looking for slightly longer grips or should I say larger grips for both Rossi models 461. Something I can get my pinky on to better stabilize the pistol. The original grips do not give you much to hold onto!
