winchester 42 and browning 42

i want to know if the newer made browning 42 parts will fit my vintage winchester 42.they look the same and the books i have say its a copy of the win.has any one tried this before.

    Good morning spr1946: Well a lot of parts are interchangeable. So far the only part that I've found that isn't, is the flat friction spring that fits between the mag band and mag tube. Of course the barrel itself has a Vent rib, and the rib ramp on the original 42 isn't as high as the rib ramp on the Browning/Winchester reproductions. Do you have a specific part in mind or is this just a "general" question? Regards Dave
