I haven't tried it, but Aim Surplus has a new TGI model built with Bulgy parts on a Nodak Spud receiver. It looks good, & the Nodak Spud receivers have a great reputation. The first buyers always take the chances.

    survivalist,

Hello, and welcome to the forums here on gunbroker.

The 5.45x39, and the 5.56 NATO are close to being the same, but not the same, as the 5.5 excells.. Especially the rifles they are chambered in from their origin. The AK74 is a 300 meter rifle, and the M4 can be extended to twice that effectively. At the price of the rifles these days, I would go with the AR platform still. You can find uppers in 5.45 if you wish.
