You can fire a .22 WRF in a .22 Mag but not the other way around.
    Just like a .22 short in a .22 LR.

Welcome aboard! I shoot 22 WRF in my 22 mags fairly often...they shoot great and are an alternative for squirrel hunting with the 22 mag since they are not as destructive to meat as the magnum round.

Thought that was what headshots were for.

Just an old story...Many years ago "Old Mike" a homestedder in the U.P. of Michigan near Munising was a good friend of my Dad's. Back in the 30's 40's and 50's Old Mike shot lot's of deer with his old Winchester in 22 WRF. He slept with about 3 or 4 dogs...had a small cabin with a wood stove and walked every day to the Club Majestic...a bar about 3 miles away for a few beers. Everytime I read about the old 22 WRF I think about Old Mike...He died in the early 60's.
