Does anyone know what a 22 pistol made by a company called
Cody Mfg. made in Springfield, Mass..might be worth.

This was my grandfathers gun and is not safe to shoot. I am hoping to
trade it in on a new hand gun but not sure how much this gun might be worth.
The most interesting thing about this gun is the barrel and cylinder open pointing down.

Thanks in advance...

It's quite a unusual revolver. Dates to the 50's, made in very small quantities, total number unknown.

Owned one many years ago, have only seen one other since then.

The problem with something like the Cody is that value is based on demand, i.e. two or more collectors competing for ownership, thereby driving up the value. The Cody is so obscure and little known, there unfortunately is little collector knowledge/demand/value in one, IMHO.
