I don't know that there is a market for them other than ties, pulpwood, or pallet material.

    Ad in the local paper?

You can try auctioning them at Gunbroker.com (or another auction/for sale internet site, preferably a local one).

Edit, apparently the wood can make a decent tonewood for guitar, somewhat akin to spruce. The problem is that its pretty soft and not all that durable. A couple of the low/medium end guitar makers are using it, for example there are Washbrn acoustic guitars that use it (eg:).

You might find a fisherman to buy the worms.

    emillerjr@stny.rr.com,

    Welcome to the Gunbroker Forums!

I suggest contacting your local University Extension to see what they have to say.

Catalpa wood is not usually favored for anything significant. It has been found to have some nice grain structure and character for furniture and some forms of cabinetry. Structurally, it's soft and porous.

    Best.
