colt 70 series

picked up a 1911 the other day, has 70 series slide but the frame isnt colt marked nor can i find any other manufacture marks. serial number is either 123xxxx C or 123xxx C, the C is kind of boxy looking rather than a rounded curved C. any idea what the frame is?
Ok...i did some research and from what ive seen many of the 1960's 1911's were "nameless" and the C looks correct from pics i saw. so according to serial # it was made in 1963

sorry, serial number is 2918xx C and like the i said the C is kind of boxy/squarish

early Colt frame with later slide = Parts gun might still be a good shooter but not collector item or value.

perry shooter, in my research ive found it to be an original 70 series, frame and slide. researched the serial number and its a 1963 model. #2918XX C just on early guns didnt have colt markings on frame, thats what threw me.

I think the series 70 frame came out in 1971 when modifications were made. 1963 would predate these changes.
