Marlin model 336cb 30-30 value?

I have recently found a Marlin model 336cb 30-30 caliber. The rifle is in 99% condition. It has the octagon barrel. I am wondering what a fair price for both buyer and seller would be on this rifle. I do not know what year the rifle was manufactured, but have read that they were discontinued in 2001. I have seen prices on these rifles between 525 and 900 plus on the internet. I am just wanting a better ballpark on price before making an offer. Thanks for your help-

    You can go to the Auction side and check completed auctions. A mint one in the 30/30 caliber sold for $ 960 on 10/1/09. You can check other completed auctions there are a few of them there.
