219 zipper shells

Hi I have about 4 boxes of 219 zipper shells. I was hoping you could give me some pricing information. I let my dad take them so I will have to get the maker from him. He thinks they are rare. The boxes are in good shape and all the shells are there. I know they are older.

Thanks for your help

    Hello Josh,

Are they empties or loaded cartridges?

Your dad is overly optimistic. The 219 Zipper was introduced in 1937 (for the Winchester Model 64) and discontinued in 1957 when the Model 64 was discontinued. Ammo was still made by Winchester for about 15-years after (discontinued in the early 1970s), and while it is not "common", it is a long way from being "rare". While at my local gunshow this weekend, I saw at least a dozen boxes of it for sale, with typical asking prices in the $35 range.
