read an interesting web page this weekend,on Garretts Cartridges. Appears he only does 2 calibers the 44 Mag and the 45/70.
It was an eye opening new research for me. I only looked at the big corp. ballistics and with my lack of knowledge I just thought of these as heavy and slow having to overaim 30 Ft. past 100 Yds. kind of deal. Before I fall in love with this thing,I want to get a lot of feedback about Garrett Cartridges, he has a lot of impresive testimonials but I want to hear from you guys, but please read this guys web page and help me decide if its BS or Gospel and a why would go a long way to eliminate my ignorance. Sorry about not putting URL in ,computers are another ignorance, but was easy to google.

I thought I had posted about this a couple of years ago but I couldn't find it in the archives.

I've always wanted to try Garrett's stuff but have not had the chance to use it. My father and a close friend opted to go with the Buffalo Bore to chase elk. The results we great.

I took a doe with Buffalo Bore with my 454...it was too much gun for the job. If Garrett made ammo for the 454 I would not hesitate to use it.
