I have a H&R 929 22 revolver that the plastic piece on the top of the main spring is broken. Do I have to order the entire assembly or is the plastic piece only available?
Ok, I found the diagram for it on Steve's Pages and it looks like I just need the mainspring guide, the plastic part is not shown separately.
If I buy the steel assembly do I have to also get the different spring? Numrich shows them as 2 different part numbers.

I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

$21.60 vs. $4.75 (guide rod) + $2.40 (spring)
Most likely someone used CARB CLEANER this model was made before people started using solvents that cause some plastic to fail. a good machinist could make the broken piece from Aluminum or steel.
I thought of that, too, but Numrich lists plastic or steel replacements, which is gonna be way cheaper than the cost of a machinist.
