type 44 arisaka question

was wondering how you can tell what type you have on these. i understand there ia a type 1,2, and 3? is it kinda the earliest made to the later or what? thanks

    It has to do w/the bayonet attachment.
    The 1st type is fairly short/small w/2 screws located on the main body.
    The 2nd type is much larger/longer w/2 screws located on the main body. Flat on the inboard end.
    The third type looks much like the 2nd type. But the screws are located differently. One screw is located on the body. The 2nd is located on a flange on the inboard end.
