How in the heck do remove the action from the stock? I took out both action screws and the trigger guard will move but won't come out? Thanks in advance for any tips.

Maybe someone glass bedded the action and didn't use enough release agent. Heat will soften the epoxy grip. I once had a fiddle back maple stock ruined due to a pin head stuck spot.

Thank you Charlie; the rifle was my grandfather's and when he died, it was willed to me. It looks brand new and never taken out of the stock, he even had the factory box. I tapped on the barrel with a rubber mallet and it broke loose; apparently when the factory glass bedded the area around the recoil stud a small portion of glass held the action in the stock. Anyway now it is good to go. I adjusted the trigger to 1.5 lbs etc., and I will try out my proven hand loads in the next few days. Thanks again Charlie.
